- We are very unhappy with this shredder...it is EXTREMELY loud, and, had we known just how loud, we would not have ordered it. Is it possible that this is a defect?
- This machine does have a decibel rating of 66 which is a bit noisier than any other Intimus models but not out of range with other manufacturers. If noise level is an important factor, consider seeking out shredders with a decibel rating of 60 or lower. Sixty decibels is about the same as normal conversational speech.
